    looks like the developer is proposing a home depot at 51st and 35, just north of barbara jordan. i guess that means they will be closing the one at st. johns... less than .5 miles away...

    the new one will apparently be 3 star green certified by Austin Energy. I wonder what will become of St. Johns...

    I can't find the article in the Statesman to link to, but Austin is buying the land. The city will build a municipal court and a police substation there.
